Arbol’s ultimate goal is to help its customers provide financial success to every student on campus. Our personalized financial plans bring all of their information – including college obligations and cost-of-living – into one intuitive place so they can understand their situation and take concrete steps toward improvement.
Our platform succeeds where many other financial success tools have failed in higher ed because we’re focused on engaging students, giving them peace of mind and easy one-click pathways to on-campus resources that are available to them.
It also produces first-of-its-kind insight into the financial viability of student cohorts, so that staff can prioritize interventions toward those who risk dropping out.
Artbol isn’t just a product. The company supports colleges as they develop, enact and ultimately execute student financial success strategies.
Improving student engagement through Arbol ultimately relieves the immense burden faced by college staff members in the financial success space. Because student engagement is vital to creating operational efficiency and ultimately improving retention, we’ve developed a strong playbook for landing on campus with a turnkey financial wellness solution.
Sometimes that means starting with financial wellness offices (more on that later), but often it means beginning with student opportunity programs, such as those offered to EOP participants. These 16-week introductory courses involve a variety of readiness lectures about preparing for life in higher ed. We’ve developed content so that Arbol becomes the financial readiness portion of that program delivery. This does two things…
- It gives students a chance to grasp both the challenge (extreme complexity involving multiple confusing portals, payment deadlines and responsibilities) at hand. Arbol’s delivery makes students feel seen, which is important as financial obligations add a lot of latent stress which ultimately leads to dropouts.
- It also introduces Arbol’s plans as a core component of their experience. We filter that data into a single intuitive place where students can understand what they owe and when, what gaps they face, how to fill those gaps and on-campus resources that exist to help them.
These are critical elements in driving student adoption of Arbol. Once we have them on the platform, it becomes a vital tool in managing their way toward graduation and beyond. This is the playbook we followed with customers just like your institution - from small private nonprofits such as Canisius University to community colleges like SUNY Erie to large public universities such as East Carolina University.
Success through Arbol led each of these institutions to expand their student financial success initiatives to multiple programs and varied student populations.
